I’ve had a love/hate relationship with the Bloomster over the years. With some issues (energy sustainability, arts funding, city planning, gun control), he’s been a rather daring pioneer. In other issues (education, futile food control, stop and frisk) he’s been a rather daring tyrant.

I think it’s a problem when arts groups have to worry about shutting down because one person is pulling out his funding. Especially when it’s the bigger institutions.
Also think it’s cool that he has funded Ghetto Film School and HarlemStages. ^_^
